The Weekly Pulse – Inside Job

Every comic here at Forbidden Planet NYC is special, but some are more special than others. Case in point: for every Avengers vs. X-Men and The New Deadwardians, we get a little something like a Gup and Big Title #1, #2, and #3; comics done by our very own employees. Man that’s exciting! But yeah, all that other new stuff looks cool too.

The reviews for GUP #1 are pouring in.

Resident comic guy Josh Weisbrod’s first published work GUP made an epic splash on the indie comic scene recently.

Comic Book Resources says… “Weirdness… weird… it has a weird charm to it.”

Josh’s response… “Yeah weird is pretty much what I was going for, as long as you enjoy feeling weird”

Talking Comics with Josh Weisbrod

If you’re a subscriber to FPNYC’s YouTube channel you’re familiar with a weekly segment that’s been running starring our colleagues Ruben Miranda and Josh Wesibrod discussing new release comics and graphic novels.  If you’re not familiar I recommend you check them out… The guys know their stuff, and share their genuine enthusiasm with the viewer with charm.

Ruben’s on the road this week and was unavailable to shoot, but Josh performed without his partner admirably, focusing on Darwing Duck #3, Dark Rain, and the new issue of one the FP staff’s favorite new series in years, Bulletproof Coffin.
