Will someone please tell Bono that the Spider-Man musical is dead?

U2’s Bono and The Edge talked to the Guardian a while back about the Spider-Man musical.
“We don’t really like musicals,” the Edge said. “Most musicals are really pants. They’re really not very cool.” Instead, they suggest people use a much more cool term: opera. “It touches on opera, it touches on rock’n’roll … It is [...]

Bendis on ‘Powers’ comic and TV Show.

Brian Michael Bendis and Mike Avon Oeming’s Powers comic is without a doubt my favorite comic out today. As far as I’m concerned this is the best work Bendis has ever done.  Yes, I’m aware that he will likely go down as the best Spider-Man writer ever, (in my mind he is) and has probably [...]

Schwarzenegger keeps ‘Conan’ sword in his office.

I think this is officially the most badass thing ever. Via the awesome Topless Robot, apparently, as Conan is wont to do, Mr. Schwarzenegger has run California into the ground. Not living there, I don’t really know exactly what’s going on, but I do know they are bankrupt. Doesn’t matter, if California decides to overthrow [...]

R.I.P.: My wallet.

Not only rest in peace, Senator Kennedy, but also rest in peace: my wallet.  It died today while buying comics.
First off, its the final issue of Rex Mundi Arvid Nelson’s Holy Grail epic started this journey long before Dan Brown’s exceptionally poorly written “The Da Vinci Code” started all the hubbub.  And this one is [...]

Spock II Supports Arcades

Zachary Quinto lent his fame to Stride Gum last week in an effort to promote their Save The Arcades program.  Very much a good geek cause, yet still very much a publicity grab for… um…  gum.
With arcade gaming in danger of going the way of the dodo and multiple iconic arcades in jeopardy, Zachary Quinto [...]
